Bron Yr Aur (say Bron Yar), Welsh for Golden Hills, a fitting name for a brewery located at the base of several towering hills just west of Naches and at the gateway to the central Cascades. This Yakima staple has humble beginnings as a local pizza place slinging beer-infused pizza crust. The brewery itself opened in 2016 by the Hatten family, and not just a husband and wife duo or siblings—but the WHOLE family. Mike, Annette, Zach, Amanda, and Trevor all buckled down to make Bron Yr Aur one of the breweries to visit in the Yakima Valley.

They are proud to say they are expanding to a second location and adding another layer of craft beverage goodness to their repertoire. Their new Oak Creek Brewstillery (half brewery, half distillery) is coming soon and will serve a range of spirits and traditional sour beers for you and all of your friends to taste and enjoy.

Their year-round beers include many different award-winning styles, including their popular Beaver Deceiver Cream Ale, which they just started distributing. In addition, there is a full menu of pub food with their own little twist—most of which are made with their own beer. This makes Bron Yr Aur one of the top locations to stop at after a long winter day hitting the slopes at White Pass or trekking through the forest along US 12 or Chinook Pass.

With all the options of Bron Yr Aur’s beer styles, restaurant, covered outdoor seating, and large grassy area you’re bound to find a place to sit back and enjoy a warm summer afternoon with your friends and family. During the summers you can enjoy different experimental IPAs along with new, rotating kettle sours throughout the year.
